The Psychoanalytical Unit (Department of Mental Health & Behavioural Sciences-
Fortis Healthcare) in association with the School of Human Studies (Ambedkar
University- Delhi) are pleased to announce the first annual psychoanalytical
conference in Delhi. The conference will be open for psychoanalysts and
psychoanalytic affiliates (registered with either the Indian Psychoanalytic
Society or the International Psychoanalytical Association or one of it’s member
societies), psychoanalytical psychotherapists, psychoanalytical teachers and
students of psychoanalysis.
The theme of this year’s conference will be “Psychoanalysis, Culture and
Religion”.


Registration
Participants are required to pre-register for the conference by sending the filled
out  registration form to psychoanalysis@fortishealthcare.com . There
will be a registration fees, to be paid in cash at the venue of Rs.1400/- for all
except invited speakers, MPhil students can pay Rs. 800/-. This will include lunch
and teas on both the days. Please carry a print out of the registration
confirmation with you on the day of the conference.

Ban alcohol advertising and products: NGOs

India News By IANS, New Delhi: A new report by a group of NGOs Tuesday highlighted the ill-effects of advertising and marketing of alcohol on young people, and proposed a comprehensive ban on all kinds of marketing strategies that seek to portray drinking as normal. "To reduce alcohol consumption, it is very important that the governments enforce a comprehensive ban on all kinds of advertising of alcohol brands and products.
