Nada India community based drug & HIV/AIDS prevention

Teenagers and young adults are particularly vulnerable to using licit or illicit drugs. The prevalence of drug use among young people is more than twice as high as that among the general population. At this age, peer pressure to experiment with illicit drugs can be strong and self-esteem is often low. Also, those who take drugs tend to be either misinformed or insufficiently aware of the health risks involved.
Focus
Studies have proved that people who start smoking cigarettes and/or drink alcohol at a young age are much more likely to experiment with legal and illegal drugs than people who do not smoke or drink. This is the reason why Nada India has been reaching out to the young people by organizing a series of artistic events like painting competition and theater by Deep group with slogan The slogan was "Think of Health not the drugs"
Aim
Nada India aims to raise awareness of the major problem that legal and illegal   drugs represent to society. No individual, family or community is safe where legal or illegal drugs take control. Drugs may control the body and mind of individual user.

We appreciated his courage in taking on socially responsive roles in web series such as  Gram Chikitsalay   and the live performance Besharam Aadmi . These performances stood out because they did not shy away from difficult truths — about stigma, dignity, and the shift from inner monologues of silence to open dialogues about the everyday realities of mental health. But while art can inspire, the reality we face as young people today is heartbreaking. According to NCRB data , student suicides in India have risen by 34% in 2023 compared to 2019 . Behind these numbers are not just statistics but ...
