..............Thanks in part to advertising campaigns featuring India’s most famous cricketers, beer consumption has surged over the past decade (by law, no alcoholic drink may be advertised in India – but that doesn’t prevent producers using proxies such as bottled water).
It grew by 14 per cent in 2010 alone to reach 1.7bn litres, according to Euromonitor, the market research group. (Why we should thanks, it is sad news ?) ..........
