Bureaucracy is taking a toll of children's creativity ,talent and play. You can see children on road side playing instead of playing or attending creativity classes at Balbhawana.Bal Mandi Road .

It also aimed at providing  barrier-free environment with immense possibilities of innovation, minus any stress or strain. This year no teacher has been appointed for summer camps  till date and water shortage is on rampant. In previous years, more than two thousand children from more than twenty villages and slums in south Delhi and used to attend more than twenty activities....A big Sorry to children this year..
On 3rd February 1973 this village unit of Bal Bhavan was inaugurated by Suit. Indira Gandhi as Jawahar Bal Bhavan Mandi at the present 3.75 Acre land provided by the gram Panchayat of Mandi. This rural centre caters to the needs of children from villages of Mandi, Jaunapur, Gadaipur, Sultanpur, Manglapuri, Gwalpahari, Bandhwari, Bairumpur, Baas, Aya Nagar, Ghitorni, Chhattarpur, Maidan garhi, Rajpur, Satbari, Chandanhola, Fatehpur Beri, Dera, Bhatti Mines and Neb Sarai.
